GCash and family payments: a planning checklist
Questions to check before using a wallet as the receiving method for a family payment or a future referral reward.
Confirm the receiving account first
Ask the recipient to check their account status and the receiving limits displayed in their own GCash account. Do not assume that all accounts have the same features or capacity. Verify the mobile number privately and avoid posting wallet details in a public comment or group.
Start with the sending provider
If you are outside the Philippines, check whether your chosen transfer provider supports GCash for your actual sending country and funding method. Read the provider’s quote and recipient requirements. An international bank transfer and a wallet credit are different receiving arrangements.
Check the amount that can arrive
Compare the quoted peso amount, fees and arrival estimate. Ask the recipient whether the expected payment would exceed an applicable account or transaction limit. A rejected payment can create delays even when the sender entered the correct number.
Never share authentication details
A sender does not need the recipient’s PIN or one-time password to send an ordinary payment. Do not supply those details to a person claiming to release funds, increase a limit or verify a reward. Use the provider’s official support process if something looks wrong.
Keep a transaction record
Save the sending provider’s reference and final status. The recipient should check their own transaction history. A screenshot sent by another person is not a substitute for a credited balance or an official confirmation in the receiving account.
TulayBox rewards are not live
GCash has been considered as a possible future reward-payment method. TulayBox has not launched a GCash payout integration or guaranteed rewards. Any program would need published qualification rules, an approved payment arrangement and a clear method for resolving failed payouts.
