Canada-wide advertising does not explain how a box travels from your address to the export warehouse. Ask whether local pickup is available, whether a domestic courier is involved and whether you must arrange a depot drop-off. Obtain a reference at the first handover.

Compare the whole journey

Request a written Canadian-dollar total for the same size, weight and Philippine destination. Check whether a quoted delivery estimate begins at pickup, consolidation or vessel departure.

Ask for the receiving address in the Philippines to be checked before accepting a price. The named destination region is a starting point; the municipality, barangay and access conditions determine the actual delivery job.

Keep one shipment record

Store the quote, booking confirmation, contents list and payment acknowledgment together. Give each box its own reference and keep any domestic collection number that precedes the international shipment. When an update arrives, record what happened, where and on which date.

Questions before handing over your box
